What is the connector on the new dell monitor. Dell monitors: review of new products and reviews

Dell is famous for its monitors. Many buyers prefer screens from this particular manufacturer. This is due to several reasons. Firstly, the company has been on the market for a long time, and the buyer trusts it. Secondly, Dell has quality models that are in every price point in the market. And, of course, Dell monitors cover a wide range of users. Everyone can find for themselves the ideal model in terms of size, characteristics, quality, etc.

Diversity

On the official website of the company, you can find the classification of monitors from manufacturers. In addition to the basic models, which, of course, are the most popular among all, it is worth highlighting other specialized series of screens.

There are Dell monitors for gamers and entertainment. This option is suitable for fans of computer games, moviegoers and just those who want to get the maximum picture quality.

There are monitors for home and office that are designed for work and study, respectively, they are optimized for this activity.

The company also has a premium model. These are very expensive monitors with wide functionality, high quality materials and interesting technologies. Well, relatively recently, a good touch screen appeared on the market, which everyone will like, suitable for work and study, as well as ordinary use.

Budget options

When choosing a monitor from Dell, you should start your review with budget options. The company has enough of them for even the most fastidious users to find their own option. Some screens have been on the market for about 3-4 years, but still they have not lost popularity.

The P2214H is considered one of these models. It was immediately positioned as a budget in the line of monitors. Despite this, it was equipped with a good IPS matrix. The appearance is quite attractive for its segment. Screen diagonal - 21.5 inches, aspect ratio 16: 9. At the same time, I was surprised by the generous resolution - 1920x1080 pixels.

The manufacturer has done a good job to get this option out of the SHI modulation, which is often found in such devices. Also, the functionality of the monitor itself has become a pleasant addition to the cost and quality of materials. It has an excellent brightness range, good contrast, built-in USB port. The analysis of viewing angles and the level of backlight also showed a good result.

At the time this model appeared on the market, it had no competitors. For 7-8 thousand rubles, the buyer received a cool monitor with a wide adjustment range: it was possible to change not only the height of the display, but also the tilt angles and position.

Many, of course, can say that this model is not so cheap, considering the diagonal (21 inches). But we must not forget how much the developers paid attention to the technical characteristics, quality of materials and optional components. Therefore, we can safely say that this series has a good price-quality ratio.

Modification

At the end of 2013, another budget model appeared. Received a new Dell 24 inch monitor. The P2414H looked the most successful of all its competitors. Despite the fact that we attributed this model to the budget segment, many users still consider it pseudo-budget. The price of the monitor was about 10 thousand rubles.

This model looks slightly different from the previous one. She has more sophisticated forms, an interesting stand. It should be said right away that the option is more suitable for office work, since the color rendering may not be entirely correct with photo processing. Still, for those who work with images, it is better to select specialized models.

For this monitor, an IPS matrix was selected, the resolution was 1920 × 1080. The aspect ratio of the screen is 16: 9. The brightness adjustment range is excellent, and the contrast is also good. The response time is 8 ms, of course, a lot relative to the flagship models, but this monitor is not positioned as a premium technology.

There are all the necessary ports and connectors, there is no built-in speaker system. But there is an excellent screen adjustment: it can be lifted, rotated and tilted.

Game model

Dell monitors are available in a wide variety. Among them there are gaming models that have long been loved by all players. The manufacturer released such a device for the first time last year. The S2716DG is a 27 inch Dell monitor. It is based on TN + Film matrix and has WQHD resolution.

Outwardly, the monitor turned out to be very interesting. The left, right and top bezels are only 1–2 mm thick, so a bezel-less effect is created, which is now in vogue not only in smartphones, but also in monitors. The W-LED backlight has given up SHI modulation. The aspect ratio is standard 16: 9.

All in all, this Dell monitor has good specs. He acquired a wide range of brightness and contrast. Viewing angles: horizontally - 170 degrees, and vertically - 160 degrees. The response time is almost instantaneous - 1 ms.

The main reason why this model has become a gaming model is the vertical frequency of 144 Hz. In addition, there is support for NVIDIA G-Sync. For everything to work correctly, the PC must be equipped with a good graphics card.

In general, the S2716DG, although it is a gaming product, still cannot be called excellent. This is primarily due to the fact that this is the first model from the company in this segment, so you cannot demand everything from it at once. The manufacturer will take into account all the mistakes, shortcomings and will definitely promote a better product to the market every time.

The advantage of this model is a good strict design, which does not immediately resemble a gaming device. There is also a so-called "borderless" matrix. There is a nice stand that can be quickly disassembled if necessary. The monitor has received a sufficient set of interfaces, offers several interesting technologies and, mainly, boasts a vertical scan speed, which makes it a gaming product.

For professionals

The Dell UltraSharp monitor has long been familiar to buyers. There are many options in this line. One of the interesting ones was the UP2516D monitor. It belongs to professional devices. Suitable for those who work with graphics, videos and photos.

Before us is an excellent 25-inch screen 25 with an aspect ratio of 16: 9. The standard resolution is 1560x1440 pixels. As a result, there are 117 dots per inch, which naturally affects the picture quality, detail and other parameters.

The display is based on the AH-IPS matrix. This monitor again belongs to the category of "frameless" devices. The frames are so narrow in this model that they seem to be completely absent.

It should be said right away that this version is the younger UP2716D. The only difference is that the older model has 27 diagonal, and the younger - 25. This changes the picture quality, pixel density, compactness and operation. And most importantly, the younger model is 15 thousand rubles cheaper, which, of course, is a huge plus for those who cannot decide on a purchase.

At the time of its release, the UP2516D was the only monitor that received a diagonal of 25 inches, WQHD resolution, an IPS-type matrix and an extended color gamut. The design is quite discreet, but attractive. A sufficient number of ports and connectors are presented to the user. There are some special technologies that still do not make this device ordinary, but classify it as professional.

Giant

Dell monitors are completely different. There are real giants among them. Dell P4317Q belongs to custom models that are perfect for moviegoers and those who do not mind spending 50-60 thousand rubles on a monitor. The main advantage of this product is considered to be 43 inches diagonal and 4K resolution.

Watching movies behind such a screen is a pleasure, as, in principle, the work itself. There is also a built-in speaker system represented by two speakers. The setup menu is convenient and straightforward. There are enough ports and connectors for everyone. The main disadvantage of such a model is still considered the lack of overclocking, which could correct the color rendition.

Beauty is in the details

It is impossible not to mention briefly the excellent UltraSharp model. Dell LCD monitors are rare, so the U3415W is an interesting solution. Again there is a "bezel-less" design, high resolution and two main advantages: a curved display and an aspect ratio of 21: 9.

The exterior of the monitor is very attractive, it is stylish, modern, has an unusual shape and aspect ratio. It has excellent color quality, wide brightness range, and no backlight flicker. Enough for the model and the connectors on the panel. There are some special features that are not found on all devices. On average, the price is 60 thousand rubles.

New

Dell touch monitors have been introduced recently. One of the rather successful options was the P2714T model. The device turned out to be simple, convenient, and intuitive. Diagonal 27 inches with a resolution of 1920x1080. IPS matrix. It is possible to adjust contrast and brightness in a fairly wide range.

The sensor accepts up to 10 simultaneous touches. The model boasts not only a sensor module, but also a "filling". The monitor supports some technologies, the required interfaces, and also has excellent color reproduction. Users have highlighted a couple of shortcomings: prints and glare on the screen, poor bundle, uneven backlighting, slow input lag.

Dell U2412 M - branded, high quality, comfortable, reliable, functional, ideally thought out, stylish. All this can be said about the hero of today's review. Want to know more about him? Let's go then!

1. Introduction

Experienced users know that the comfort of using a computer is highly dependent on the monitor. Nevertheless, many people choose it on a leftover basis. The main selection criteria are often the screen size and low price.

In today's difficult time of tough competition, economic crisis and total economy, the quality of production leaves much to be desired. Even the purchase of a well-known brand monitor (Samsung, LG, Dell, HP, Nec) does not guarantee high image quality, not to mention the case and electronic stuffing.

Many, purchasing a monitor, notice a clear distortion of colors, light on the matrix, dead pixels, poor quality materials and workmanship. Someone's eyes begin to hurt after a few hours of working at a computer, and after a few years, their vision deteriorates significantly. Therefore, choosing the right monitor is the key to comfortable and safe work.

2. Design and ergonomics

The case of Dell U2412M is made of high-quality matte plastic with an interesting smooth texture, thanks to which it is not easily soiled, dust and fingerprints are not visible on it, and at the same time it is easy to wipe clean and not scratched. In general, a very practical material that does not require special care and does not lose its appearance for years.

Thanks to the high and receding stand behind the monitor, you can comfortably place medium-sized speakers and their speakers will not overlap too much, as on monitors with a classic stand, where the speakers can only be placed on the sides of the monitor, and not behind it.

There are control keys in the lower right corner of the front panel, which is convenient. We will talk about them in more detail a little later.

The stand allows you to lower the screen quite low if necessary.

It can also be raised to a sufficiently high height.

And even flip it upright, which will be appreciated by designers when working with various projects.

The hinge at the bottom of the stand allows you to swivel the monitor for watching videos while sitting on the couch.

The weight of the stand and the elasticity of the hinges are designed just perfectly, lifting and turning the screen is carried out with a slight movement of the hand. At the same time, there is no need to hold the stand and it does not move on the table. The sensations are very pleasant.

The back of the stand is finished in silver.

In the profile, the side edge of both the stand and the screen also has a silvery stripe, which, coupled with the elegant shapes, looks quite impressive and stylish.

By the shape of the hinge, you can understand that the screen can not only be raised, lowered and rotated, but also tilted in a vertical plane, which allows you to adjust it as you like in all three planes of space.

The thickness of the bezel also inspires confidence. A serious monitor with high-quality electronic stuffing cannot and should not be thin. I generally do not recommend purchasing "stylish" monitors with super thin panels. This usually means that the manufacturer simply saved a lot. In such monitors, the electronic filling and the screen itself often fail.

3. Connectors

On the left side there are 2 USB 2.0 connectors for connecting flash drives and any other devices to a computer via the built-in USB hub of the monitor.

All other connectors are at the bottom. If you turn the screen vertically, it is more convenient to connect cables to them.

For example, I often turn it this way to connect computers and other devices for setting and testing them. The photo also shows the powerful metal frame of the monitor.

I will list the connectors from top to bottom:

 • 2 more USB 2.0 ports for connecting different devices
 • uSB connector for connecting the monitor's USB hub to a PC
 • VGA (D-SUB) for connecting to an old video card
 • DVI-D for connection to modern graphics cards
 • DisplayPort for connection to modern graphics card
 • power connector for proprietary DELL speakers
 • 220V power connector

Power is connected with the same cable as the system unit. The power supply unit in the monitor is built-in. On some thin monitors, the power supplies are external, which is not so convenient.

Unfortunately, there is no HDMI connector, but devices with such a connector can be connected via a common DVI-HDMI adapter.

In general, there should be no problems with connecting any video card and other devices. And a powerful metal frame and a monitor weight of as much as 6.24 kg immediately make it clear that the manufacturer has not saved on quality and reliability. For comparison, monitors Samsung and LG with the same screen diagonal weigh 3.5-4.5 kg.

4. Wall mount and stand

The stand is easily detached from the screen by pressing just one dedicated button.

Hidden underneath is a standard VESA 100 × 100 wall mount, allowing the monitor to be hung on the wall or attached to furniture using a special bracket.

This is what the stand itself looks like.

It has two vertical channels along which a powerful metal mount moves when the screen is raised and lowered.

The metal is really very powerful and thick. I didn’t measure, but it looks about 2 mm thick.

At the bottom, the leg is tightly connected to a round turntable and rotates with it.

It seems that it is even on a bearing, as it turns very smoothly, effortlessly and has absolutely no backlash.

There is also a powerful metal frame underneath with large soft rubber feet that completely eliminate slipping. Even with quite a lot of effort, the monitor does not wobble or budge. It just stands rooted to the spot and in order to move it you need to raise the stand. The same cannot be said about modern budget monitors, which you are afraid to hook so that it does not fall or break the stand.

The stand is so comfortable and reliable that, according to reviews, many are ready to overpay $ 100 just for it. All in all, it's really worth it, but this is far from the only advantage of the Dell U2412M.

5. Screen and image quality

The Dell U2412M monitor belongs to the Ultra Sharp series, as indicated by the first letter "U" in the marking. Monitors from this series have high image quality and our model is no exception.

Dell U2412M is equipped with a quality e-IPS matrix (Enhanced IPS), which is an improved version of regular IPS and has better color reproduction than the cheaper AH-IPS. In general, only professional P-IPS is better, monitors with which are much more expensive.

The response time of the matrix is 8 ms, which is not a record, but in principle it is enough for most tasks, including games. There are, of course, gaming monitors with faster TN and AH-IPS matrices, but their color rendition and viewing angles are worse. We can say that they are geared only for games, and Dell U2412M is universal.

The screen size of Dell U2412M is honest 24 ″ and the resolution is 1920x1200, which is slightly more than Full HD (1920 × 1080). If the width in Full HD monitors is always enough, then there are problems with the height. The extra 120 pixels in height make the monitor noticeably more comfortable in some tasks. For example, in video editing programs, where there are many horizontal panels under the preview window.

Of course, for watching videos and playing games, the larger the screen size the better. But a quality 27 ″ monitor costs 1.5-2 times more. Therefore, the optimal price / size ratio is monitors with a diagonal of 23-24 ″ and here Dell U2412M is at the top of the universe

As for the screen resolution, that is, of course, models with a resolution of 2K (2560 × 1440) and now fashionable 4K (3840 × 2160), but they cost much more. In addition, in order to pull out high resolution, the computer must have much more powerful hardware. Therefore, let's say for games, the optimal resolution today is Full HD (1920 × 1080) or 1920 × 1200, which does not require a super powerful PC.

Now back to our ram, the king of the middle segment. There are still a few technical parameters overboard that may be of interest to someone.

In general, everything is typical for a monitor of this class, but I will add some explanations and personal experience to the specifications.

Brightness and contrast are excellent, I haven't even changed the factory settings. The viewing angles are excellent. A refresh rate of 60 Hz is typical for a generic monitor. Some gaming monitors and 3D models have higher refresh rates, but not everyone needs this and places additional demands on the PC hardware. The power consumption of most modern monitors is around 40W. In standby mode, the monitor itself consumes practically nothing.

The monitor has been color-calibrated at the factory, as evidenced by the presence of a calibration card. The screen has a very high-quality matte anti-reflective coating that does not distort the image, can be easily wiped with microfiber and does not deteriorate over time.

The photo, of course, cannot convey the quality of the picture, so I will describe it in my own words.

For personal feelings, the quality of color rendition and the image as a whole is at the highest level. The colors are very soft, pleasant and natural. At the same time, they do not look too bright or dull. In general, as it should be on a high-quality monitor.

Moreover, the Dell U2412M competes with more expensive professional monitors, as evidenced by professional tests using measuring instruments (calibrators) on serious technical portals.

Indeed, looking at the screen of this monitor is sheer bliss

6. Control elements

At the very bottom there is a power button with a good, distinct stroke, by which you can understand that there is a high-quality switch under it that will not break over time as in cheap monitors.

In standby mode, when the computer is turned off or enters sleep mode, the monitor turns off the screen, goes into low power consumption, and the button indicator glows orange. When a signal from the PC arrives, it wakes up and the button glows blue.

The color is very soft and pleasant, it does not strike the eyes at all, as on some budget monitors. In general, the thoughtfulness and care for the user is felt again.

The remaining 4 buttons are intended for control in the menu, and the top 2 can be reassigned by the user to various actions. The buttons are of the same quality and have a distinct movement. You can press them without holding the screen.

7. Menu and settings

The buttons do not have signatures, since pressing any of them brings up a menu in which their function is displayed right on the screen, which can be reconfigured.

For example, I assigned switching the signal source to the top two buttons, since I often connect several devices to the monitor. They could be assigned to adjust the brightness, switch modes (text, video, games ...) and other actions.

By pressing the corresponding button, you can go to the monitor settings menu, which is very convenient and thoughtful.

In it you can change the brightness and contrast.

Select signal source or enable auto source.

Manually adjust colors and gamma.

Or choose one of the ready-made modes, which, by the way, unlike most budget monitors, are not just for show, but are carefully balanced.

There are some additional display options for those who need it.

Other settings not related to image quality.

Personalization settings allow you to assign different actions to the top 2 buttons.

In general, everything is convenient, well-grouped and without the frills required only by high-class professionals.

8. Experience of use

I have been using this monitor for several years now and it still pleases me every day with high image quality, comfortable construction and stylish design. Over the years of use, I have not found a single flaw in it and it looks like new.

With prolonged work with it, eyes do not hurt. It reproduces colors well and I often use it for games and graphics. Compared to the Samsung F2380's high-quality PVA monitor, which my sister uses for professional design, the Dell U2412M has better color reproduction.

Many people turn to me for advice on choosing the optimal monitor and I still cannot find anything better. If I now had to choose a new monitor, then I would choose exactly the same, especially since this model is incredibly popular and you can buy it almost everywhere.

9. Conclusion

Dell U2412 M - the case when everything is almost perfect. He falls in love with himself at first sight and this feeling does not go away over the years. It is suitable for a wide range of tasks - long-term work in office applications, surfing the Internet, watching videos in a company, modern games, video editing and professional work with graphics. Perhaps this is the best universal monitor in terms of price / quality ratio on a really high-quality IPS matrix.

Currently, the world of computer technology is developing rapidly. Users increasingly prefer to buy ready-made solutions on the computer hardware market, but there are still those who assemble a computer with their own hands. This is due to the desire to save money by choosing all the components for themselves and according to their requirements. One such component is a monitor. The choice of the latter often comes down to "like it or not like it", but there are connoisseurs of high-quality images and it is for them that this article was written.

The main points when choosing a monitor are:

 • Diagonal. The most popular are screens with a diagonal of 19 inches. This is the optimum for most games, in addition, many video cards will pull it. Higher resolution and diagonal may require higher performance components.
 • Matrix type. There are three of them: TN, IPS and VA. Each of the options has its own advantages and disadvantages, described in the "Good to know" section.
 • Resolution. Another standard is 1920x1080 pixels or Full HD. Quad HD with 2560x1440 pixels and 4K UltraHD are gaining more and more popularity, but powerful video cards are needed to play them.
 • Viewing angles. The better they are, the less color and brightness distortion will be at an angle.
 • Ports. The most popular now is HDMI, but there are also DVI outputs. The dinosaur on the market is VGA, for which you will have to buy an adapter.
 • Update frequency. The optimal indicator is considered to be a 60 Hz update, which is suitable for most users. Gamers prefer 120Hz for a smoother picture, which is very important in esports.
 • Adjusting the stand. A minor parameter, often bypassed. With this stand, you can adjust the monitor to fit yourself.

We have selected the top 20 best monitors on the market for you. When forming the rating, the price, customer reviews and their ratings, as well as technical characteristics were taken into account.

Best 19.1-22 '' monitors

Let's start with monitors with small diagonals. They are perfect for solving office tasks, show themselves well in entry-level and mid-level gaming systems and delight the buyer with a relatively low price.

5 NEC MultiSync E221N

For weak eyes
Country: China
Average price: 15 360 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.7

One of the best models in the budget segment with a difficult to pronounce name MultiSync. Its main advantage is colors that are pleasing to the eye and do not cause tension. The slim bezel is 6 mm wide for a pleasant appearance. You can control the monitor using the touch buttons.

Mobility is also pleasing. The design of the screen allows you to adjust it in height, tilt and angle, since the leg itself is rotating. The delivery set includes a bracket for attaching the vertical part of the stand. Additionally, there is a Display-port, which is very convenient to use. The only flaw is that the monitor is designed to operate at a temperature of 5-35 degrees, which makes it problematic to use in southern latitudes, where the temperature reaches 40-45 degrees in summer.

4 LG 22MK400H

TN matrix with amazing picture
Country: South Korea
Average price: 6550 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.8

The fourth place in the category is taken by the excellent LG monitor. First of all, you pay attention to the design. He is ascetic as possible. Sharp corners, matte black plastic. Even on the back cover, the eye has nothing to catch on - there is only a power connector, an inconspicuous USB hub and USB type-C for image output. When using a monitor, for example, with the new Apple Macbook, you can limit yourself to one connector through which the image will be displayed and the laptop charged - convenient!

It is extremely difficult to find fault with the image quality. A high-quality IPS matrix has a resolution of 4096x2304. Color reproduction, contrast, brightness range - everything is fine. The screen coating is anti-reflective. Complaints only to the response speed - 14 ms. But for designers, graphic editors, artists, photographers, for whom this monitor is intended, this characteristic is not very important. Of the interesting features, we note the presence of a light sensor and two good speakers with a total power of 10 watts.

3 Philips 223V7QHAB

Good build and thin bezels
Country: Netherlands / China
Average price: 7 597 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.8

Philips regularly delights its fans with technical innovations or lovingly keeps older models alive. 223V7QHAB was no exception. The IPS-matrix produces pure black color, which is why it is convenient to work with the monitor when processing photos. No highlights observed. High pixel density (102 PPI) has a positive effect on image quality. Mechanical control buttons help you customize the screen to suit your needs. They protrude strongly from the body and are easy to find by touch. The built-in power supply supplies the device with 13 W in active mode and 0.5 W in idle mode.

Among the shortcomings, there is the difficulty in adjusting the brightness when SmartImage is off. White balance has a slight green tint, which requires the use of Windows calibration tools. The built-in speakers produce mediocre sound, but fully justify the price. There are 2 connection ports - HDMI and VGA. It would seem that one can rejoice, but no. The HDMI cable will have to be purchased separately.

2 Acer V226HQLb

Excellent color rendering, nice price
Country: China
Average price: 5620 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.9

The V226HQLb is in the lead in sales for a number of reasons. This is both the high cost of new models and the difficult financial situation in the country. Therefore, buyers note the low price of the model with good color rendering. By the way, the viewing angles here are also good and are 170 degrees horizontally and 160 vertically. The maximum frame refresh rate is 75 Hz, which is higher than the standard budget parameters.

There are a couple of interesting things worth mentioning. The monitor has an anti-reflective coating, which is very beneficial when working in brightly lit rooms. Unfortunately, the model has inherited the typical sores of its segment. First of all, it is a VGA input, which determines the low price of the product and makes one think about purchasing an HDMI adapter. A bulky and uncomfortable stand can be an unpleasant surprise, which negatively affects the portability of the monitor.

Which monitor to choose: TN, IPS or VA matrix? We propose to study the table of advantages and disadvantages of each type of matrix.

1 BenQ GW2270H

Best 21.5-inch monitor
Country: China
Average price: 6690 rubles.
Rating (2019): 5.0

We put GW2270H in the first place. The monitor will delight its owner with a high-quality assembly, a variety of modes of use and correct color display. HDMI is not included in the bundle, you will have to buy it, and here, for a minute, there are two. VGA, frankly speaking, does not cope and produces flickering in some applications, which is why you have to set the limit at 60 Hz. The AMVA matrix is very close in quality to IPS, which at the same time allows you to save money and at the same time not to lose a good image.

One of the drawbacks is the uneven illumination, due to which there is a slight glare in the lower left corner and a crystalline effect occurs. Particularly picky buyers in their reviews note not quite high-quality joints on the case and the crunch of the monitor when moving, as well as an inconvenient screen settings profile. Overall, this is a great value for the money, with minor flaws that most users won't notice.

The best 24-25-inch computer monitors

It's time to move to a higher segment. This category is characterized by a higher level of graphics and an average price tag.

5 Samsung S24D300H

The most affordable price
Country: South Korea
Average price: 7695 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.5

And again, we start with the most affordable device. The design matches the cost - large frames, glossy plastic - not ugly, but without a twist. The diagonal is optimal for working with texts - 24 inches. On this one fits two sheets of A4 in real scale. A decent Full HD resolution coupled with a TN matrix reduces the response time to 2 ms.

This is where the pros are over and you should move on to the cons. Viewing angles leave a lot to be desired - only 170 degrees horizontally and 160 degrees vertically, which leads to inverted colors when deflected. To fix the problem and not raise the price, the manufacturer equipped the monitor with tilt adjustment, but in a small range. There is no VESA mount for walls either. There are only 2 video outputs - HDMI and outdated VGA.

4 LG 25UM58

Monitor for moviegoers and gamers. Aspect ratio 21: 9
Country: South Korea
Average price: 10,200 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.7

Ultra-wide monitors with an aspect ratio of 21: 9 have settled on store shelves for a long time, but users have not gotten used to them. And in vain, because this format is ideal for movies - there are no black bars at the top and bottom, the picture takes up the entire screen area - and games, where a wide viewing angle is useful.

Device diagonal 25 inches, resolution 2560x1080 pixels. The matrix is IPS, and therefore there are no complaints about the quality - viewing angles, color rendering, brightness: everything is fine. The refresh rate is slightly higher than the standard 75 Hz. The screen coating is anti-glare, which allows you to work even near a window. There are two HDMI inputs. Yes, and the cable itself was put in the kit - it's nice. Note the excellent cable management - the wires can be hidden in a special channel in the footboard, where they will not be an eyesore. There is a 3.5mm audio output, which comes in handy if access to the system unit is difficult.

3 BenQ BL2411PT

Most popular 24-inch monitor
Country: China
Average price: 16 670 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.8

Third place in the ranking is BenQ BL2411PT, a popular 24-inch universal monitor. The model is perfect for everyday office work, as well as for movies and computer games. BenQ BL2411PT is one of the clear leaders in its price segment. A very affordable price for a monitor on a high-quality IPS - matrix is supported by rich functionality and many nice "buns". There are three video inputs, HDCP support, power saving function, a reminder to rest your eyes. Many praise the comfortable stand and practical design.

According to the reviews of the majority of users, the monitor stands out for its excellent color reproduction, high contrast, and no backlight flickering. Good uniformity of the black field is also noted. The menu is Russified, very clear, and the monitor after purchase practically does not need to be set up - plug it in and work!

2 DELL P2415Q

The best technical characteristics. Resolution 3840x2160 pixels
Country: USA (made in China)
Average price: 34,990 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.9

The second place in the rating of the best is DELL P2415Q, the most affordable 4K monitor on an IPS matrix. The resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and a diagonal of 24 inches creates a maximum pixel density (185 PPI), which allows you to see the image on the screen like on paper. The build quality (produced by Qisda Corporation) and the materials of the monitor case give no reason to complain. The device has a wide range of brightness and a stable contrast ratio, without SHI modulation in the backlight unit.

Dell P2415Q is a very successful model on the IPS-type matrix, which will appeal to those who like to work with graphics, for those who are interested in a small diagonal with support for the 4K standard. In its price segment, it will be difficult to find a worthy competitor for this monitor.

1 DELL U2515H

The best ratio of price and quality
Country: USA (made in China)
Average price: 24980 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.9

The first place in the rating is DELL U2515H, one of the best monitors for designers and photographers. The IPS matrix allows you to get a sensitive picture, soft colors (which prevent the eyes from getting tired quickly), and the semi-matte surface and anti-reflective coating exclude the appearance of unnecessary glare. Surprisingly, with all the disadvantages of IPS-matrices, in DELL U2515H, light on black is almost invisible.

According to users, this monitor is the best ratio of size and resolution. The diagonal of the screen is 25 inches and the resolution of 2560x1440 pixels allows you to get a clear image and correctly scale images in video editors (Photoshop).

The device has a convenient stand that allows you to adjust the monitor, both in height, and change the angle of inclination and rotate the monitor by 90 degrees.

The best monitors for a computer with a diagonal of 27-30 inches

5 ASUS MG28UQ

The best alternative solution to game models
Country: China
Average price: 33980 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.7

This monitor has every chance of becoming a good alternative to gaming solutions due to its lower price than the top-end ASUS ROG series. On the positive side, you should definitely include support for 4K Ultra HD at a refresh rate of 60 Hz and the presence of modern digital interfaces HDMI 2.0 and display ports 1.2, which allow you to fully unleash the potential of the monitor.

The characteristics of the device are worthy of the highest rating. Uniform illumination with a high threshold for brightness and static contrast, plus the function of minimum deviation in the transmission of primary colors, creates an image without blemishes. The only drawback is that the color gamut could be higher, although for everyday tasks the SRGB palette range should be more than enough. The "gaming" nature of the monitor is evidenced by the minimum response speed - only 1 ms. In addition, flicker-free technology is built in here.

4 Samsung C27F591FDI

Curved monitor. Full sRGBM coverage
Country: South Korea
Average price: 15520 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.8

Samsung knows how to make good monitors. The model, which took the 4th place in the rating, is distinguished, first of all, by the curved matrix. Looks out of the ordinary and provides greater comfort when working due to the shorter distance from the eyes to the edges of the screen than in flat devices. At 27 inches, this is quite useful. The only, but very noticeable drawback is the resolution. Still, fullHD is not enough for this monitor size. But the quality is excellent. TFT * VA matrix provides high brightness and contrast ratio (3000: 1 versus 1000: 1 in most competitors). 4 ms response - if you want, you can play. Plus, there is Free sync. Graphics workers will appreciate 100% coverage of the sRGB color space.

The advantages do not end there. You can also praise the Samsung monitor for the large number of video inputs - there are HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort. There is also a pair of speakers, 5W each. The disadvantages of users include only an unregulated stand.

3 LG 27UD58

Most affordable 4K monitor
Country: South Korea
Average price: 25,100 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.9

There is no need to talk a lot about the LG 27UD58. The design of the monitor is quite strict, the frames are not minimal, but their presence is absolutely not annoying. The stand has an extremely small range of adjustments - it is not always possible to adjust comfortably. But for the clip for the wires, let's say "thank you" to the engineers - no cables stick out on the sides.

The matrix is just great. At 27 inches, there is 4K UltraHD resolution. The picture has excellent color rendering, high brightness, maximum viewing angles and, surprisingly for an IPS matrix, deep blacks. Some users even reduce its depth so that, for example, in games, the corners are not lost in pitch darkness. The response time is standard - 5 ms. It is interesting that the declared number of colors exceeds 1 billion - for most models this figure is 16.7 million. The difference is invisible to the eye, but pleasant. Matrix coating is anti-reflective. There are three video inputs: a pair of HDMI and DisplayPort.

2 BenQ GW2765HT

Best features for an affordable price
Country: China
Average price: 21003 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.9

Second place in the ranking of the best - BenQ GW2765HT, an excellent monitor for the money. The display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, combined with the unique AHVA matrix, gives an excellent picture that will be highly appreciated by photographers and designers. And lovers of computer games will not stand aside - the declared response time of the monitor is only 4 ms. Among the pleasant features of the monitor, we note the Smart Reminder technology, which will not let your eyes work without rest (the device will remind you that it is time for your eyes to rest).

Advanced users will definitely appreciate the smart W-LED backlight control system, the most convenient stand and a rich set of cables: VGA, HDMI and Display Port. In their positive reviews, users point to an invisible pixel, no screen flicker, dim LED, cool design and minimum price for their characteristics. BenQ GW2765HT is one of the best monitors in terms of price, quality and functionality.

1 LG 29UM59

Choice of buyers
Country: China
Average price: 15 601 rub.
Rating (2019): 5.0

This monitor has a very accessible menu. At the bottom there is only one button with which you can call the settings panel. The button itself is designed as a joystick. Quick access to all inputs will allow you to check all connected devices. The monitor has 2 ports, both HDMI format. Particularly pleased with the preset of ready-made modes of operation for various tasks. For aesthetes, professional color calibration is provided.

There are no obvious highlights, but the black level is not the best and is close to dark gray. The viewing angles are very good and the picture hardly inverts when the angle is changed. The model will become a real boon for people involved in video and audio processing and require a lot of space to accommodate all work items, but do not want to buy 2 monitors.

The best monitors for PC games

We conclude our top 5 of the best monitors for PC games. The main features of this segment are fast response time, increased screen refresh rate, power saving mode in some variants and high price.

5 LG 29UM69G

Great price for a 21: 9 monitor
Country: South Korea
Average price: 16 670 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.6

Monitors with an aspect ratio of 21: 9 are slowly becoming more and more familiar to ordinary gamers. This is understandable - the wide viewing angle in many games gives a strategic advantage. Even the games passed for a long time begin to play with new colors. LG 29UM69G has a diagonal of 29 inches, which is comparable to a 24-25 'monitor with the usual 16: 9 ratio. The resolution is 2560x1080. The picture is of high quality. Thanks to the TFT IPS matrix. Brightness and contrast ratio standard: 250 cd / m2 and 1000: 1, respectively. The response speed is far from the best in the class - 5ms. The maximum refresh rate is also 75 Hz. Due to these characteristics, the monitor is not suitable for fans of dynamic online shooters. But the hardened "RPG-Schnicks" will be happy with a beautiful picture. Fortunately, they did not forget about the vertical synchronization technologyFreeSync.

Three video inputs: HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2 and USB Type- C. There is a headphone output. The manufacturer also installed two speakers with a total power of 10 watts. There is no question of the depth and detail of the sound, but it will do as a backup source.

4 Samsung C49HG90DMI

The widest monitor in the world
Country: South Korea
Average price: 66730 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.6

Think 21: 9 monitors are too wide - look at this monster. The aspect ratio here is 32: 9! But do not be alarmed, because Samsung, in fact, simply combined two 27-inch monitors with the usual aspect ratio in one device. For the same reason, don't be intimidated by the 49-inch diagonal. Resolution 3840 x 1080 - again, twoFullHD delivered side by side. Pixel density is a bit small by modern standards, but image quality in general is difficult to find fault with. MatrixCurved SVA shows excellent figures for brightness (350 cd / m2) and contrast (3000: 1). Support declaredHDR, but tests show minimal effect from enabling it. The vertical scan frequency reaches 144 Hz - an excellent indicator. There isAMD FreeSync 2.

Four video inputs: 2xHDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, miniDP 1.4. This amount will come in handy given the presence of technologyPicture by Picture ( PbP). It allows you to display an image from several sources at once on one screen. For example, from a laptop and a game console, or from two computers. The only disadvantages are the high cost - all the same, two 27 'monitors with similar characteristics will be much cheaper.

3 AOC G2770PF

Remarkable price for a 27-inch gaming monitor
Country: China
Average price: 35 781 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.6

We responsibly declare that the AOC G2770PF is one of the best budget 27 "gaming monitors. For a modest $ 500 by modern standards, you get a device with a refresh rate of 146 Hz, a fleeting response of 1 ms, flicker-free backlighting and FreeSync support. The third place in our rating!

Yes, even if the resolution is only 1920x1080 pixels (FULL HD), but for many it will even be a plus, since not everyone has powerful video cards to open 2k-4k monitors. There are also no questions about the configuration. The device has everything and even more: stereo speakers, DVI input, HDCP support, 4 USB ports. In terms of energy efficiency, the AOC G2770PF is absolutely the best among the competitors in question. In operation, the device consumes a modest 29 W, which is exactly three times less than monitors from ASUS and DELL.

There are, of course, downsides. The manufacturer did not think about the design for a long time and chose a slightly boring gray tone. So what kind of appearance you can put a solid 3. Is it not because of the design that you buy a gaming monitor?

2 ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q

3D support
Country: China
Average price: 56 490 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.7

The second place in the rating is ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q, the only monitor in our review that supports 3D. This allows you to work with 3d graphics and get a lot of positive emotions from watching three-dimensional films and games. However, 3D support is far from the main reason for buying the ROG Swift PG278Q. The device is equipped with a state-of-the-art TN + Film matrix, which gives a very smooth and clear image. According to this indicator, not many expensive monitors on a TN matrix can be compared with ASUS ROG. Fast response, brightness, excellent color reproduction, thoughtful design - all this is mentioned in numerous positive reviews.

With a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 27-inch W-LED backlighting and Nvidia G-Sync support, you can feel comfortable in any game. The monitor has only one small drawback - the price, which is approaching $ 2000.

1 DELL S2716DG

Best 27-inch gaming monitor
Country: USA (made in China)
Average price: 44 967 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.9

The first place in the rating of computer monitors is DELL S2716DG, a model with top characteristics with an eye to the future. Ultra-fast TFT TN matrix, 2560x1440 resolution, 27-inch screen and 144Hz refresh rate. Add to that the support for G-Sync, with which modern games look much better, the frame transfer is lightning fast. What could be better for a computer game lover?

The monitor has a perfect matte finish to completely eliminate glare. Bright and vivid colors will not let your eyes get tired even after several hours of continuous play. In numerous reviews, users note a quick response, build quality, a comfortable stand, a small pixel and a gorgeous 2k resolution.
