A phone like iPhone 6. What to buy instead of iPhone XS: seven alternatives to an overly expensive smartphone

On September 12, Apple introduced the anniversary iPhone X with a frameless 5.8-inch screen, Face ID facial recognition system and a dual camera with optical zoom. The price starts at $1,000; for Russians, the new product will cost at least 79,990 rubles. Meanwhile, the iPhone X is not the only smartphone with this design. Lifehacker found 10 more “frameless” ones, and they are all cheaper.

1. Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+

South Korean flagships Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are equipped with screens of 5.8 and 6.2 inches, respectively. There are no side frames at all, and the edges are smoothly rounded. There may not be a dual camera with optical zoom, but in terms of security, smartphones are no less worthy than: they can identify the owner by the iris of the eye. There is also facial recognition, but the camera works using a two-dimensional algorithm, not taking into account depth, and therefore the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ can be unlocked with a photo.

The official price for S8+ is 54,990 and 59,990 rubles, respectively.

Popular Samsung phablet Galaxy Note 2017 also got an infinity screen, but with a diagonal of 6.3 inches. And its edges are not as steep as those of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, because there must be room in the case for the S Pen. The camera has become double, there is a 2x optical zoom. The security features are the same as in the G8: an iris scanner and an unreliable facial recognition system.

The official price in Russia is 69,990 rubles.

3. LG G6

Unfortunately, the flagship LG G6 was deprived of popular attention, although the phrase “got a solid screen before it became mainstream” is about it. There's a 5.7-inch Quad HD Plus FullVision display with Dolby Vision and HDR10 technologies and an 18:9 aspect ratio, but LG chose an IPS matrix, and therefore it became impossible to get rid of the side frames by curving the panel.

The LG G6's dual camera features wide-angle and standard lenses with 125° and 71° angles, respectively. Facial recognition is available, but LG warns: “The feature provides less security to the phone compared to other methods, such as graphic key, PIN, Password and Fingerprint.”

The official price of LG G6 in Russia is 39,990 rubles.

LG equipped the flagship V30 with a 6-inch P-OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9, however, like in the G6, it did not round the edges or remove the side frames. Notably, the LG V30 is smaller in size than the OnePlus 5 with a regular 5.5-inch 16:9 display.

The dual camera is created according to the same logic as the G6. One lens is wide-angle at 120°, the other is normal at 71°. Moreover, the camera is so cool that David Franco, director of photography for Game of Thrones, took part in the presentation of the smartphone.

There are no innovations in terms of security here.

The start of sales in South Korea is scheduled for September 21. The smartphone will then go to North America, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The price is expected to be around $700 - about 40,000 rubles.

A mysterious smartphone from the “father of Android” Andy Rubin appeared in American online stores in early August without any announcement. Attention is drawn to the 5.71-inch LTPS screen covering almost the entire front panel. Integrity is violated front-camera, but after the iPhone X with its “ears” it will be strange to scold the designers of the Essential Phone.

The smartphone is equipped with a dual camera: one color, the other monochrome. The tandem is designed to increase the amount of light received by 200% compared to “traditional” cameras, the developers say. Nothing is said about security features other than a fingerprint scanner.

The pre-order price is $699, delivery is promised in 1–2 months.

From Xiaomi images Mi Mix 2 is breathtaking. On them it is truly frameless! However, in life everything is not like that. Yes, the 6-inch IPS screen with an 18:9 ratio seems to occupy 93% of the front panel, no conversational dynamics. But there are frames, and on the sides, and, contrary to Xiaomi’s statement, they are not much smaller than those of the iPhone 7 Plus.

The camera of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is traditional “one-eyed”, but on a Sony IMX386 sensor and with optical stabilization. Xiaomi didn’t bother with security measures.

The price in the maximum configuration on the Chinese market is 3,999 yuan (about 35,000 rubles).

GSMArena.com

Xiaomi says the huge 6.4- inch screen spread over 91.3% of the front panel, but measurements showed that no more than 84%. In general, it’s also not bad. The edges are not rounded, and therefore there are still small frames.

The camera is average, with an OmniVision sensor and no optical image stabilization. Facial recognition using neural networks, machine learning and an infrared camera? Of course not!

In the top configuration it will cost between 35–40 thousand rubles.

SZ LifeStyle/AliExpress.com

Once upon a time, it was Sharp that released the first truly frameless smartphone, and the tradition continues. Sharp Aquos 2 is a mid-ranger with a 5.5-inch 4K screen that covers 87.5% of the front panel and has a small cutout on top for the selfie camera. The main camera is dual, and the second module is needed solely to simulate the bokeh effect. Security is entrusted to the fingerprint scanner.

Inexpensive new product from a Chinese manufacturer. The world's first 6-inch smartphone with an edge-to-edge 18:9 display and a 5,100 mAh battery. There are also dual camera- the second module allows you to blur the background. A fingerprint scanner is responsible for security.

The pre-order price of UmiDigi S2 is only $229.99 (about 13,000 rubles), shipping starts after October 11.

Most cheap smartphone in the selection and at the same time the most dubious. The manufacturer has moved the 5.5-inch display to the top as much as possible, which creates the feeling of a frameless design - but there are still frames. The dual camera with bokeh effect is here for show: it takes disgusting pictures. The archaic Home button contains a fingerprint scanner.

Price - about 11,000 rubles.

To be honest, I've only used the iPhone X once. And in this short time you can understand whether the device is convenient or not. In the case of the X, after about 30 seconds you understand that in general this form factor is pleasant, and the entire useful area of the display is really used.

The notch in the display is, of course, a controversial issue. Some people like it, some don't. In the case of the iPhone X and the device from Oppo, I like it because the whole point is not in the notch, but in the same size of frames around the entire perimeter of the device. It is the same thickness of the frames both on the sides, bottom and top that creates a very pleasant feeling during use.

Apple created the notch for a reason. Marketers understood perfectly well what such a decision would lead to. They knew that others would begin to follow the trend set by Apple. And so it happened. MWC 2018 gave us an idea of where the market will move in 2018. And if Android fans chuckled at the notch in the display, now they will have to come to terms with it, because almost all flagship - and not only flagship - smartphones will now have a notch.

Below I will present all the smartphones that I know of with a notched display, and at the same time I will comment on each of the solutions.

The photo below is Lite. He looks, frankly, terrible. The cutout at the top is okay, but why then make such a huge frame at the bottom? You need to choose one of the two, otherwise the meaning of one of the decisions is lost. Or you make a frame at the bottom, as Xiaomi did with Mi MIX 2, or a cutout in the display. Otherwise, the end result is a mess of everything incomprehensible.

In the case of OnePlus 6, the situation is slightly better, because the frame at the bottom is noticeably smaller and almost equal to the side frames. However, due to the enlarged lower frame, the smartphone still looks weaker than the iPhone X. Although, of course, the solutions from Huawei are better.

One of the Huawei P20 renders also appeared on the Internet. It’s still difficult to say what model this is, but it can be characterized with one rhetorical question: why is this button at the bottom needed? The smartphone looks ridiculous, and let's admit it.

The photo below shows the flagship device from Oppo. And so far this is the best implementation of a notch in the display, because there is no bottom frame to spoil the whole effect. Oppo was copied, they did it blatantly, but they succeeded, unlike the others.

Doogee V is a budget device from a little-known Chinese company. The cost of the device will most likely be about 150-200 dollars. For this money we get a scanner in the display and quite good design. Yes, there is a frame at the bottom, but the price tag in this case should save the situation.

ZenFone 5. Also a pretty good implementation. And, in my opinion, Asus approached it very professionally. They tried to do it their own way, tried to bring something of their own into a similar form factor and did it well. A truly shameless smartphone, yes, there is a frame at the bottom, but it is not so large, and in general the shell and design are very harmonious. Well done.

Croatian smartphone NOA N10 on MediaTek MT6737 with 4 GB of RAM. Nothing special except the design:

Ulephone. I will not discuss this device, it is not worth its 380 dollars. There's 8 GB of RAM, a new processor from MediaTek, it's very thin frames, but the smartphone looks ridiculous. A crooked shell spoils the whole effect. And this is more like one of the prototypes. But knowing Ulephone, I can say that, most likely, the device will go on sale with this firmware.

Leagoo S9. $150 device with iPhone X design:

And finally, a fresh photo of the flagship LG G7:

It’s difficult to say anything, but as I write this article, I’m gradually starting to come to terms with the notch and understand that this has become the norm for the entire market. Apple has again set a trend, and it’s hard not to admit it.

Frameless smartphones are the future. Unfortunately, the trendsetters of the gadget world believe that only those who are willing to fork out the money are worthy of the future. We won’t discuss whether it’s worth it today. Today we’ll look at real frameless smartphones at a real price for Russia.

10. The cheapest LEAGOO KIICAA MIX

The cheapest frameless smartphone you can find on sale. Even used or broken ones cannot be cheaper. Despite this, the phone is very good: compact, convenient, with an excellent 5.5-inch FullHD screen made by Sharp. The mediocre processor and cameras are justified - look at the price. What can you ask for for 6 thousand? Works? Already great! And it is also compact.

9. “Xiaomi clone”: Vernee Mix 2

This smartphone will seem familiar to all fans of Chinese devices - you will see a similar one at the very end of the article. However, the cheap Vernee offers a balance of characteristics and a nice price - it is 3 times cheaper than the Xiaomi Mix! Inside, the filling is decent by the standards of 2017: 6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 (Quad HD), budget Helio P25 platform, 4 GB of RAM and 64 permanent memory, a good dual camera and Android 7.0.

8. Successful copy: VKworld S8

Samsung S8 clone for an affordable price. The company has managed to establish itself as a manufacturer of fairly good state-of-the-art phones, so their S8 turned out to be a good smart phone. The savings are almost unnoticeable: 6-inch original LG Quad HD screen, memory and samsung battery, dual camera of tolerable quality. The only let down was the processor - like most of the Chinese, VKworld uses the weak MediaTek. Nevertheless, in total it turns out to be a good alternative to cheap Xiaomi.

7. Workhorse: Elephone S8

Another Mix smartphone: this time with a 6-inch edge-to-edge 18:9 display with Quad HD resolution. To get ahead of the competition, Elephone used a powerful, energy-efficient Helio X25 processor and equipped the device with an impressive 5,100 mAh battery. They did not make a fashionable dual camera - instead there is one high-quality “eye”. By the way, this S8 has a stylish glass body on a metal frame: rounded edges and feng shui.

6. The main Chinese frameless phone: OPPO F5

The new OPPO F5 has: a cool 20 MP selfie camera with a 1/2.8-inch sensor and a good main one; face recognition function; 6-inch screen with 2160 x 1080 resolution without protrusions; a lot of functions to reduce eye fatigue; metal case 7.5 millimeters thick with the thinnest antennas on top. CPU is lagging - in use MediaTek Helio P23 (MT6763T). But there are 2 SIM cards and a separate slot for MicroSD.

OPPO does not yet sell its smartphones outside of Asia, and offers English-Chinese firmware. Those who dare to buy OPPO/Vivo do without transfer (in Android system language is not an application language and does not affect the keyboard language).

You cannot buy it freely in Russia. At home and in Southeast Asia - 17,000 rubles.

5. The one who started it all: Sharp Aquos S2

Sharp is responsible for the first mass-produced frameless smartphone. The tradition continues. Moreover, unlike earlier models, Sharp Aquos 2 can be purchased even in Russia. This one is quite cheap compared even to the iPhone 7 and easily outperforms many flagship devices in terms of technical characteristics. How much does a 5.5-inch screen with 4K resolution cost? It occupies 87.5% of the front panel, so the smartphone fits into the dimensions of a 5-inch device - or a classic iPhone SE.

4. “Regular” record holder: Nubia Z17S

For one iPhone X you can buy 4 of these ZTE. Meanwhile, Nubia's current flagship not only offers a cool, sleek design, but also minimal side bezels. Actual measurements show that the distance from the image to the air is less than that of Xiaomi Mix and iPhone X. With a standard layout! However, there is something to offer: modern processor Snapdragon 835, an excellent camera (almost Samsung - and much better than the various Xiaomi / Meizu), and even a good audio chip. An additional advantage is the 5.2-inch screen.

3. First among equals: Xiaomi Mi Mix

First generation frameless Xiaomi smartphones still sold in Chinese stores. The lack of frames and a bunch of innovative solutions negate the real benefits of the device: stylish, fashionable - but easily damaged and still damp. Quiet speaker and no camera - the price for a huge 6.4-inch screen that occupies 84% of the front panel. However, it was Mi Mix that became the ancestor of all the monotonous Chinese crafts presented in the article.

2. Updated: Xiaomi Mi Mix 2

Xiaomi has had its share of troubles with frameless smartphones. Therefore, the new Mi Mix 2 has frames and the screen is smaller. As a user of these models, I’ll be honest - it’s good that there are frames, and the screen has decreased to 6 inches and has an aspect ratio of 18: 9 (read our review). Useful screen area - 93% of the front panel. You have to pay for style: no earpiece, no 3.5 mm jack. The picture is completed by an unexpectedly mediocre Sony IMX386 camera with optical stabilization. But the smartphone is 2.5 times cheaper than the iPhone X.

The most hyped smartphone in the world Apple iPhone 6 and its improved Apple version iPhone 6s is very expensive. The minimum price in Russian retail for the 16 GB version is 33,990 rubles. It's time to find a replacement...

Due to the depreciation of the ruble against the US dollar, Apple sells all its products at Russian market much more expensive than in the USA or, for example, Hong Kong. Thus, the version of iPhone 6 with 16 GB of internal memory now costs 33,990 rubles, and the iPhone 6s costs 39,990 rubles. Price for 32 GB iPhone version 6s is 43,990 rubles, for the 64 GB version of the iPhone 6 - 37,990 rubles, for the 64 GB version of the iPhone 6s - 47,990 rubles. iPhone 6s configuration with 128 GB - from 56,000 rubles. An Apple phablet with a 5.5-inch screen will cost a potential buyer 35,000 rubles for the minimum memory version and 65,000 rubles for the maximum. Needless to say, it is very expensive!

After talking with Internet users, the site found out that no one is going to buy Apple smartphones at expensive prices. Of the 250 people surveyed in recent days, 95% said so. Another 5% noted that the cost of Apple smartphones and phablets is very high and they are unlikely to dare to buy. The most common answer from the interlocutors was also: “Why should I overpay if the stores have a bunch of analogues and substitutes at prices half as low?”

Indeed, the light did not fall on Apple! After thinking a little and evaluating alternative devices, we compiled our rating of smartphone replacements for the Apple corporation. Here are our recommendations...

1. Xiaomi Mi5

id="sub0">

Xiaomi Mi5 is one of the most stylish smartphones 2016 and 2017. The device looks amazing. No flimsiness, no plastic - just metal and glass. This gives the user a feeling of security.

The body is a solid sheet of aluminum. IN modern models this is a rarity, so each such model looks fresh against the backdrop of faceless plastic “twins”. The aluminum used here has a polished texture. It's smooth and slippery.

The main characteristics of the model: bigger screen(5.15 inches), quad core Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 820 with a frequency of 2.3 GHz and integrated support for the 4G LTE network, use of nano-SIM, support for microSD cards.

2.Huawei Honor 8

id="sub1">

A serious competitor to the iPhone 6/7 is the smartphone Huawei Honor 8, which went on sale in 2016. The device combines the design of Apple products. It looks and feels great in the hand. It feels like a flagship device.

Aluminum body and protective glass with a 2.5D effect are perceived very well. The device has productive hardware, sufficient volume random access memory and takes very high quality photographs. The screen is bright, the picture on it is very vibrant and contrasty.

The advantages include support for LTE of all Russian bands, the presence of two radio modules for SIM cards. Time battery life This is comparable to the iPhone 6s.

Honor 8 has few disadvantages. First of all, this is the low quality of videos received from the main camera. The second point is the relatively weak external speaker in volume. I will also note the tendency for scratches to appear on the glass of the back surface of the device. Now is the time to immediately buy a protective case.

Features of this model include the use USB port Type C for charging. This standard is still very rare. Therefore, you will have to carry the cable with you. This is worth remembering.

3. Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)

id="sub2">

In addition to the flagship Galaxy smartphones S7 Samsung has the Galaxy A line, which presents gadgets with an excellent price-quality ratio. Our rating of iPhone 6 replacement smartphones includes two models. First - Galaxy A5 model range 2017.

The smartphone is lightweight (159 grams), compact (146.1x71.4x7.9 mm, display diagonal - 5.2 inches), with a good camera (16 MP with proprietary optics), productive (Exynos 7880, 8 cores, 1.9 GHz, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, microSD slot up to 128 GB) with a long battery life (3000 mAh battery), and is also moisture and dust resistant (IP65 and IP68 standard). Among all the available alternatives, and the iPhone 6 also does not have such happiness, this is the only smartphone that can not drown in the sea, and also take a lot of beautiful photos. It turns out that the replacement is more than complete.

4. Meizu M6 Note

id="sub3">

Price: from 19,990 rubles for the 16 GB version.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 came out as an extremely nice and neat smartphone, which only benefited from the shine of real metal on the sides. The most important thing is that in the hands the device feels exactly the same as /: reliable, monolithic, expensive and rich. Among the advantages, it is worth noting the fairly high performance of the hardware, a very decent camera, display, as well as an unexpectedly long battery life for such a thin body.

The lack of expandable memory (the built-in memory is 32 GB), the low screen resolution are, of course, disadvantages, but the Apple iPhone 6, which is sold in the millions, has the same disadvantages. Another thing is how will it be perceived in the market if it is Samsung?

6.Huawei Nova

id="sub5">

This phone, like the ones presented above, uses aluminum and glass to make the case, the combination of which makes the appearance of the device more stylish and expensive. Externally Huawei Nova very reminiscent of Huawei Honor 8, although the thickness of the device has increased slightly - to 7.5 mm. But the processor can please you with very fast performance; there is an eight-core processor installed here Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with a frequency of 1.7 GHz.

Like many Chinese flagship smartphones, Huawei Nova has 3 gigabytes of RAM and a 12 megapixel camera with the ability to record 1080p video (1920 x 1080 pixels). All this runs on the Android operating system version 6 with its own UI Emotion shell, thereby adding some individuality and ease of use to the device.

High-quality 5″ screen with oleophobic coating, stylish body made of natural materials, the ability to use microSD cards capacity up to 64 GB and a 3020mAh battery make this phone a very attractive offer.

7. Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro

id="sub6">

Although Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro is a typical mid-range smartphone; it has a very interesting design. It is completely different from standard devices of Asian brands. It is also worth including the quality of the materials from which the device is assembled. Even the battery life here, despite its miniature size, is decent.

Of the minuses, we note only the absence of LTE 800. Otherwise, the shortcomings are not so critical and are quite appropriate for a model in the mid-price category.

To some extent, Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro is an excellent replacement for the iPhones and Samsungs that our youth are chasing. In our opinion, the white version of Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro can be perfect for students and young girls. The black version is more of a masculine theme.

8. Apple iPhone 5s

id="sub7">

Despite the time that has passed since the announcement, iPhone 5s remains the best-selling Apple smartphone in Russia. We simply could not not include it in our rating. The phone is available in 16GB and 64GB versions. The device works quickly, the karting on the 4-inch screen is super clear and bright. The iPhone 5s camera does an excellent job, taking high-quality photos with both the main and front cameras.

In terms of communications, the device has everything you need: support for LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Continuous operating time telephone conversations 3.5 hours. Under standard load, the smartphone works from 1 to 1.5 days.

9. Xiaomi Redmi 5A

id="sub8">

Price: 8,500 rubles (16 GB), 12,990 rubles (32 GB version).

Many call this model especially cool among second-tier Chinese smartphones. The device fits comfortably in the hand, the 5-inch display diagonal is not at all embarrassing, and it’s quite possible to operate it with one hand.

The main and almost the only bug of the device is the glossy back cover, although it’s also not for everyone. It can be easily replaced with another branded one or covered with a more tenacious case. But under this cover lies a powerful unit - Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 MSM8917 with a frequency of 1.4 GHz and Adreno 308 graphics. Built-in memory of a choice of 16 or 64 GB, RAM - 2 GB. There is also a 3000 mAh battery. The smartphone will have to be charged once every two days. And as a bonus, the main camera is 13 MP and the front camera is 5 MP.

10. Xiaomi Redmi 5A

id="sub9">

Xiaomi Redmi 5A is the cheapest analogue and replacement for the iPhone 6. The smartphone has a bright industrial design, which makes it stand out among others on store shelves with its unique novelty. In addition, the flagship of 2016 and 2017 received the most latest version operating system- Android 7.1, where we tried to polish most of the interfaces and functions.

In terms of hardware, Xiaomi Redmi 5A is not the most advanced gadget, but the characteristics are impressive. Here is an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 1.4 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, support for LTE, NFC, GLONASS/GPS, an excellent camera with pure view ZEISS optics, a large 5-inch screen with FullHD resolution and a capacious battery.

Among the obvious and indisputable advantages of the model, we note a long battery life, a very high-quality camera, an excellent screen and an extremely attractive appearance.

Conclusion

id="sub10">

As you can see, there is a rather large choice. Today there are a sufficient number of very competitive manufacturers, the number of which is growing every day. Judging by the characteristics of many devices, most of them are even more powerful than new smartphones from Apple, and the execution and materials are no worse. We have presented only the most interesting options, the price of which is even lower than that stated for the iPhone 6. Note that almost all presented smartphones have enough good batteries and screens with a diagonal of at least 4.7 inches.

What phone would you buy? Share your opinions in the comments.

The iPhone is the best smartphone that humanity has come up with, and to be precise, Steve Jobs and Apple. A strong statement that we decided to put to the test. You see, today almost a religion has formed that does not accept any electronics other than Apple. Undoubtedly, every brand has ardent admirers, but it is the “bitten apple” that has an army of fanatics under its wing who consider Android smartphones to be defective, despite the fact that Google’s OS has made a huge leap in recent years, surpassing iOS in many ways. We decided to prove to everyone that you can live without a brand new iPhone 7 by selecting several models that are better in everything (or almost everything).

Samsung Galaxy S8

In our rating of smartphones that better than iPhone 7, this handsome guy occupies the leading position. Yes, as expected, yes the device has Korean manufacturer It has its drawbacks, but, by and large, it beats its competitor from Cupertino.

Design? Well, the iPhone 7 is not bad, but it doesn’t have anything unusual. Shapes typical for a smartphone, fairly wide frames at the top and bottom, and most importantly, almost zero differences from what we saw in the iPhone 6 and subsequent models. Samaung Galaxy S8 appeared before us in a rethought design, which, you see, you also liked. Oh, that elongated glass body and the unusual display-to-display ratio high resolution. Just put the Samaung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 side by side: a completely new experience and unchanged appearance.

Let's move on. Cameras. Without going into specifications, we can confidently say that the Samaung Galaxy S8 is better. Only the lazy did not compare the cameras of these smartphones, and only Apple fans sided with the iPhone. By almost all criteria, the Galaxy S8 is ahead: faster focusing, best shooting in the dark, there are many more different chips. Moreover, in this regard, the Koreans have been ahead of the Cupertino team for several years.

Let's move on to the filling. It's stupid to compare the processors of two best smartphones- has long been large companies The top lines are equipped with chips that will last more than a year. We go to memory, but not to operational memory, but straight to permanent memory. Samaung Galaxy S8 is presented in a single 64 GB version - optimal for today. Apple allows you to choose: 32, 128 or 256 GB. Not optimal: 32 GB is not enough; for 128 GB or more you will have to pay quite a bit more. In addition, Samaung provides the user with the opportunity to expand the memory using memory cards up to 256 GB. And yes, what the iPhone 7 doesn’t yet have is a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

What about our autonomy? The iPhone 7 has a 1960 mAh battery, the Samaung Galaxy S8 has a 3000 mAh battery. But these are just numbers, what in life? In talk mode, the first lasts up to 14 hours, and the second shows all 20. In listening mode iPhone music 7 will last 40 hours, and Samaung Galaxy S8 up to 67 hours. How not to mention wireless charging, not necessary for everyone, but quite an interesting thing. In the Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7 confrontation, only the former can boast of it.

The advantages of the iPhone 7 include iOS, even if you are a big fan of this platform. Finally, regarding the price, the Samaung Galaxy S8 can be bought for an average of 46,000 rubles, according to Yandex.Makret. For last year's iPhone 7 with 32 GB, you will have to pay about 44,000 rubles.

Xiaomi Mi6

The recent smartphone from the Chinese company, which was dubbed a flagship killer long before its announcement, is quite ready to compete with the iPhone 7 Plus. Great screen, top-end hardware, serious amounts of memory, dual advanced camera, fresh Android version and all this is half the price of an iPhone.

Needed good screen? Xiaomi Mi6 will provide you with it - a 5.15-inch panel with FullHD resolution, which boasts a high number of pixels per inch. This comes with the latest generation glass and an excellent oleophobic coating. Complete order and appearance, as well as materials: premium design and excellent build quality.

Can't live without photos? A couple of cameras on the back of the smartphone; by the way, the manufacturer relied on the capabilities iPhone cameras 7 Plus, so there are no problems with photo quality. In some ways they may be inferior to other flagships (most likely from Samsung), but it would be hard to call them bad.

Performance is in complete order: here is the latest flagship Snapdragon 835, and 6 GB of RAM for multitasking, which ensures excellent results in synthetic benchmarks and in real use. Xiaomi memory Mi6 offers a choice of 64 or 128 GB with microSD expandability. You definitely won’t experience any problems with the speed of your smartphone.

The key point when comparing Xiaomi Mi6 and iPhone 7 Plus (since both have a dual camera) is, naturally, the price tag. No matter what anyone says, it is the cost that often becomes the decisive argument in the confrontation, especially why pay more if they offer the same characteristics and even “better” ones for less money. So, iPhone 7 Plus today will cost 53,000 rubles (for the 32 GB version), Xiaomi Mi6 with 64 GB can be bought for 30,000 rubles. The difference is obvious.

LG G6

LG G6 really wanted to amaze users, but the dream was ruined by Samsung Galaxy S8, which, with the same screen aspect ratio, was otherwise better. However, you shouldn’t discount LG’s smartphone. This is one of the most unusual devices of the beginning of 2017, well-built and with the characteristics of a flagship. And in the confrontation between LG G6 and iPhone 7 Plus, we have an equal fight.

The LG G6, like Samsung's S8, has an 18:9 aspect ratio screen that complements the high-density resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. The display of the smartphone is not curved, like its Korean competitor, which many people liked. In terms of design, the LG G6 is not inferior to the iPhone 7 Plus, and the front part looks more modern and stylish. The assembly of the Korean is better, which is also confirmed by protection according to the IP68 standard (the smartphone from Apple has IP67). IP68 ensures full protection from water and dust, while the iPhone is only protected from splashes. In addition, the LG G6 is not afraid of falls from great heights. Can an iPhone do this?

Unfortunately, the processor is not from the latest Qualcomm collection, but the Snapdragon 821 is still current, which will provide excellent performance, which will be helped by 4 GB of RAM. The drive is designed for 64 GB, with the possibility of expansion with 2 terabyte cards. Not bad, right?

Want two cameras? The LG G6 has them, and they are very decent. By the way, we remind you that it was LG that was the first to introduce a dual camera in its previous flagship. You can’t fault the quality of the photos – no worse than many.

Well, about the price. We have already discussed the cost of the iPhone 7 Plus. At the time of sales launch, the LG G6 cost approximately the same as the iPhone - just under $800. However, in recent months, the smartphone has dropped greatly in price, and today you can buy it for only 35,000 rubles. Here's another Android smartphone that's better than the iPhone 7 Plus.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium

Sony Xperia The XZ Premium will surprise us with a 4K screen - the first smartphone of its kind. But it's not just the ultra-high-resolution display that makes the iPhone 7 Plus stand out.

As a result, we get an excellent picture in which graininess will certainly not be visible. Always find pixels on your smartphone screens, then the Sony Xperia XZ Premium is just for you. This resolution will especially appeal to fans of virtual reality.

True, there is only one camera, but in this case there is only one warrior in the field. A 19-megapixel sensor with an F/2 aperture and laser autofocus will provide excellent photos, which, in principle, is not surprising. Still, before us is Sony. The company also took care of selfie lovers by installing a 13-megapixel camera on the front of the screen.

As for other specifications of the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, you can believe that full order. And NFC, and a very fast fingerprint scanner, and Bluetooth 5.0. Even the iPhone 7 Plus will be jealous! But in terms of Sony prices Xperia XZ Premium is close to today's opponent - on average 55,000 rubles. Still, this smartphone is better than the iPhone 7 Plus.
