Equipment

Traditionally, Lenovo packages its products in convenient, compact and capacious packaging made of thick cardboard. We can see the name of the phone model in the lower right corner of the box.

The kit also contains:

  1. headset
  2. Charger
  3. USB cable
  4. battery
  5. instructions (in Chinese)
  6. documentation (in Chinese)

The included charger is in disassembled condition. The cord for charging the phone also serves as a USB cable.

The included headset is standard, it is ideal for watching video files and communicating on the phone, but for high-quality listening to audio files you will have to choose a different option.

Design, appearance and photos of the Lenovo A850 Plus smartphone

The first thing any buyer can notice is that the appearance phone. Lenovo A850 Plus has become smaller in size, the new product has become thinner and narrower, but with all this, the screen size remains the same - 5.5 inches. The battery capacity has also been increased from 2250 mAh to 2500 mAh.

The design has become more presentable, the glossy body has disappeared, and it has been replaced by matte, non-slippery plastic, which significantly reduces the risk of the phone unwantedly slipping out of your hands. But there is one small disadvantage of this material; it quickly collects fingerprints on its surface and because of this, your device will look rather sloppy. Therefore, you should immediately buy a cover or bumper, or just come to terms with this fact.

The rear camera module is surrounded by a rectangular cover, which gives it a more solid look. The speaker is located to the right of the camera, instead of the bottom left corner, as it was on the 850 model.

The on/off button and volume keys are on the right side, just under the thumb. (+ to ergonomics)

The phone cover fits tightly and is quite difficult to remove. Having removed it, we can see the battery compartment, memory card slot and slot for 2 SIM cards (full-size), which are located nearby.

Lenovo A850 Plus screen

The phone is equipped with a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. When viewing images, the brightness and color reproduction are excellent. The screen also has excellent responsiveness and responds to 5 touches simultaneously.

Autonomy

The smartphone contains a 2500 mAh battery. Based on the results of the AnTuTu test, you can see that the battery does not have high performance because the phone ranks last among other smartphones. The charge lasts for a day under high loads (listening to music, using Wi-Fi, video and photo shooting).

Performance

The 8-core MKT6592M processor is new in the budget series. The smartphone has 1 gigabyte random access memory and a display resolution of 960 x 540. All applications on this phone model work flawlessly, the desktop scrolls smoothly, the camera works without a hitch. Applications like Subway Surfers work smoothly and the character moves smoothly. FullHD video is played with a bang. Performance in benchmark tests turned out to be quite tolerable for a budget smartphone.

Interface

The smartphone runs on Android based 4.2.2, with Vibe Rom firmware. The main difference between this firmware is the absence of a menu where all applications are located. After installing programs and applications, they all automatically appear on the desktop; new ones, as a rule, are marked with a new icon. Unfortunately, the smartphone is not fully adapted for Russian-speaking countries and the translation is 85 percent complete. Therefore, when using the phone, it is not uncommon to find functions in English and Chinese. But alas, there is no other firmware yet.

This firmware certainly has its advantages, functions such as:

  • “in pocket” - increase the volume when the phone is in your pocket.
  • “out of pocket” - decreases the volume when removed from the pocket.
  • “Shake lock” - locking the phone after shaking.
  • “smart answer” - answering a call by holding the phone to your ear.
  • You can unlock the screen by pressing the volume key, which is very convenient for some people.

Camera

The camera, or again 5. The rear camera is designed for 5 megapixels, but in my opinion the photos turn out quite good. The camera is certainly not terrible, since in my opinion it can be given 8 megapixels because there are phones with an 8 megapixel camera, but the quality of the photos is either the same or even much worse. During macro photography, autofocus works quite well, which makes it possible to take good shots in the Macro style. Video is shot in 3GP format. The maximum resolution is 1920 x 1080 and the frequency is 30 frames per second. This quality is quite suitable for uploading videos to YouTube. The front camera is 0.3 megapixels and leaves much to be desired. There is noise in the photo, not to mention the size of the image itself.

Price in Ukraine: 1800-2200 hryvnia.

Equipment

The phone is packaged in a compact but nice-looking cardboard box. All inscriptions, except the model and company, are in Chinese. Included:

  • Documentation;
  • Box;
  • Telephone;
  • Headphones;
  • USB-microUSB cable;
  • Charger (network-USB).

All documents (apparently the warranty and instructions) are in Chinese. Headphones with a clothes clip, a microphone and one button look as if they were bought in a transition for 5 hryvnia. I would never have thought that a branded phone with a price of about two thousand could be bundled with such nonsense. Also, in the box that came into my hands, there was no adapter for our sockets - I had to buy it.

Appearance and body

At first glance, for n inexperienced user, the phone looks too big. However, if you take the device in your hand, this impression disappears. Talking on this phone is also convenient. From the side, the phone looks elegant, befitting its size (its thickness is just under a centimeter).

On the front side above the screen in the middle there is a speaker and a logo. To the right is the camera (0.3 megapixels) and the charging indicator (lights red when charging). Below screen three touch buttons: Settings, Menu and Back. There is also a light and distance sensor somewhere on the front panel, but I couldn't find it. I didn't find any information about this in the phone manual (at least in the pictures).

Along the contour of the phone there is a silver border that imitates metal. On the right side at the top there is a two-position volume control button. Top center is the power button. Opposite it at the bottom is a microUSB connector, and a little to the right is a microphone.

There is a 5 MP camera on the back of the phone. It protrudes slightly above the surface of the phone, but is recessed into a metal border that protects it from scratches. Below it is an LED flash. The second speaker is located at the bottom of the case on the left side.

There are no buttons on the case other than volume and power. Even the camera launch buttons, which is very bad. But those that exist are pressed comfortably and with a pleasant with a click.

The body is made of dark blue glossy plastic. The plastic is very soiled and slippery to the touch. Well assembled. Even after making an effort, I did not feel any play or creaking of the body in my hands. The back cover lies very tightly, even too tightly - I personally find it inconvenient to remove it, as I needpry with a sharp objectalmost along the entire perimeter. It is put back on backwards - easily and with a pleasant click.

Under the hood is a wide 2250 mAh battery, two slots for SIM cards (standard size) and one for a microSD memory card (up to 64 GB).

Screen

IP S phone screen size 5, 5 inches and resolution960 x 540 pixels. Image density 200 ppi, 16 million colors. Externally it makes a very pleasant impression: bright and clear, despite the relatively small number of pixels for this size. However, If the screen is under film, it looks mediocre outside even in cloudy weather. Everything you need can be seen without problems, however The picture is pretty faded.

Software

The device runs on Android 4.2.2.

By default, the phone has almost all the necessary programs:

  • File Manager
  • Complete set from Google: Play market, Chrome, Gmail, Google+, Hangouts, YouTube
  • Norton antivirus
  • Skype
  • Any share (a program for exchanging data with other devices via Wi-Fi)
  • Program for using your phone a as a modem (via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB)
  • Voice recorder, calculator, radio
  • User Tutorial
  • Battery manager.

Speaking of the battery manager, I want to dwell on it in more detail.

Lenovo thought it through very well. It contains five tabs.

1. In the first one you can find out how long your charge will last. Energy-intensive functions are immediately disabled or configured (from GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to the time the phone goes to sleep, ringer volume, vibration and automatic screen rotation). After the changes, the phone immediately recalculates the operating time and shows it to us.
2. The second displays the running processes and what percentage they make up of the total energy consumption of the phone. You can close them right away.
3. In the third, you can see at what stage of charging the phone is if it is connected to the network. The program claims that charging the phone consists of three stages: fast, smooth and support. In the first, the phone charges intensively and quickly to 80%. Then it goes into a smooth mode, where it charges more slowly to the end. At 100%, the phone goes into support mode to maintain the charge at 100% (like laptops). In the same tab, you can calibrate the battery if the phone begins to show the charge level inaccurately.
4. In the fourth tab, you can select one of four energy consumption modes: low economy, medium, high and native. Again, just like in a laptop.
5. B last tab There are various settings and information about the program.

Desktop.

In the native version of the phone's firmware, control of the desktop and icons on it is also excellent. Just by clicking on the table, you can add shortcuts, programs, folders, widgets to it. Graphic effects, design themes, and desktop wallpaper can be configured right away. You can even put animations and videos on your desktop. You can add and remove desktops - a maximum of nine. While working, you can switch between them in the usual way - by scrolling left/right, or by pinching two fingers together (as when zooming out), open thumbnails of all tables.

Connection

An interesting nuance: when the subscriber picks up during your call, the phone vibrates. At first this is unusual, but very convenient, because due to poor communication quality you often cannot understand: the subscriber has picked up the phone and is silent, or there is still a call in progress.

The volume of the main speaker leaves much to be desired. Even at maximum conversation volume the sound is not very strong. It's sufficient for everyday situations, but in a noisy environment you probably won't hear anything.

The second speaker has good volume. To listen, for example, to an audiobook through it, 50% will be enough for you under normal conditions.

Dimensions

In terms of width (8 centimeters), the phone is, in my opinion, a little too big. It fits comfortably in your hand, but your thumb is not long enough to reach the opposite side of the screen if you hold the device with one hand.

If you hold the phone horizontally with both hands, then the size (15 and a half centimeters) fits almost perfectly: you can press the buttons in the middle of the screen with the thumbs of both hands.

However, people who have not used this type of phone before will find it very inconvenient to work with the device at first. The question immediately arises: where to put it? It doesn't even fit completely into the pockets of some pants. And even if it fits, you still think about how to sit without damaging it. True, this problem is partially compensated by a convenient function - while in your bag (which is where you will most likely carry it), the phone automatically increases the ringer volume. So keep this in mind if the question about the size of the phone is still open for you.

Camera

Five megapixels, in my opinion, is not enough for a phone that costs two thousand. But even if you don't take into account the number of points, the camera is bad.Autofocus bad — the necessary objects are often not clear.

I don’t think it’s necessary to say that photos taken at night are of terrible quality. The front VGA camera takes pictures as a VGA camera should. Also, the video quality is poor. And no 720p can save him.

In general, a battered Nokia N97 four years ago and with a similar matrix size (today you can buy it for 500 hryvnia) took both photos and videos a cut above. I don't even know if this is good or bad.

Below are examples of photos and video taken at night.

Battery

I used the phone very actively- Internet, Wi-Fi, camera, Bluetooth, games, - and so on almost all day. Is it true, the whole time the device was in off mode f line - without SIM -cards. With this usage, I had 40 percent battery at the end of the first day. That is, the phone is barely enough for two days with active use.

Charges from the computer.

Performance

The device is equipped with a 4-core processor MediaTek with frequency 1.3 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. The Antutu test returned 17004.

Ratings

If you evaluate all the points of the phone on a five-point scale, you get the following:

Design: 3. The phone looks absolutely nothing - neither fish nor fowl. Although you can judge for yourself.

Case quality: 4. The case is quite good looking. As good as plastic can be.

Screen: 4. Makes a pleasant impression, despite the relatively small number of pixels and slightly low brightness.

Sound: 3. Average volume, average quality. The external speaker is loud.

Ready to work: 5. Everything that an inexperienced user might need at first is in place.

Ergonomics: 2+. The lack of necessary buttons speaks for itself.

Iron: 4. Good processor, average amount of RAM, not enough built-in memory.

Camera: 2. Takes pictures poorly, no matter how you look at them. Looks average even on your own screen.

Battery: 4. Holds up well, not least thanks to the excellent manager.

Bottom line

Despite all the criticism, I liked the phone. He gives the impression of an unprepossessing, modest, but reliable hard worker. It's clearly nicer on the inside than on the outside and a pleasure to use. The only significant drawback for me is the camera. But not everyone will pay attention to this.

The rating is a solid C, adjusted for the inflated price, as for a Chinese person. That way I could have competed for the top four.

Lenovo IdeaPhone A850 – Android smartphone with a large 5.5-inch IPS screen, a new quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, a 5 MP camera at a very affordable price. Let's see what he can do.

Design and ergonomics

Externally, the smartphone is no different from other Lenovo IdeaPhone models. The entire front side of the smartphone is covered protective glass, light and proximity sensors are hidden in its upper part, speaker, front camera eye, indicator and manufacturer's logo. At the bottom there are hardware touch keys. A silver plastic rim runs along the entire perimeter of the device. On the right side there is a volume rocker, on the left side there are no elements. At the top end there is a 3.5 mm jack and a power button, at the bottom there is a microphone and a micro-USB connector. The glossy cover covers the entire back side; on it is located the peephole of a 5 MP camera with a flash, the manufacturer’s logo and a multimedia speaker. Taking off back cover you can see a removable 2250 mAh battery, a slot for a microSD memory card and two SIM cards. Unfortunately, access to the memory slot and SIM cards is only possible when the battery is removed.

Smartphone ergonomics are controversial. The biggest criticism is the location of the power key on the top edge of the device. Its location means that you have to use your second hand to unlock the smartphone, which is not entirely convenient. One cannot help but mention the squeaks of the case, especially when there is strong pressure on the back cover. On the plus side, we add that fingerprints on the glossy cover can only be seen from a certain angle. There are also no complaints about the mechanical hardware keys; they have a well-perceptible stroke.

As for smartphone with big screen, the device fits well in the hand, but it is extremely difficult even for those with large hands to use it with one hand. Comparative housing dimensions are shown in the table below.

Operating system and shell

The smartphone is running operating system Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and GUI Lenovo Launcher. The interface allows you to create up to nine desktops and significantly changes the appearance of the device by choosing the effect of flipping desktop windows, the background image, and even renaming the application widget, as well as changing the icon. In addition to the interface, the settings menu has undergone changes. It now has three tabs: General Settings, Character Settings, and All Settings. You can read more about the interface in .

If we talk about the convenience of this interface, it has undeniable advantages over the pure Android Jelly Bean interface. And the main thing is the deep customization of almost everything, from the theme to the renaming of widgets on the desktop. The disadvantage is its slowness. Not to say that it slows down, it’s just that the pages turn through the pages slowly.

Hardware platform

The Lenovo IdeaPhone A850 smartphone uses a system-on-chip manufactured by MediaTek MT6582, 1 GB RAM and 4 GB permanent memory expandable via microSD memory cards. The MediaTek MT6582 chip includes four processor cores with a frequency of 1.3 GHz and a Mali-400 MP2 graphics core. When connected to a PC, a little more than 2 GB of permanent memory is available to the user. The amount of RAM available immediately after booting the smartphone is 725 MB.

The performance results are comparable and sometimes even ahead of the MediaTek MT6589T. This is more than enough for demanding games, but is affected by the lack of permanent memory, which is only 2 GB. Because of this, some programs will have to be installed on the memory card.

Search speed GPS satellites on high level. Yes and with wireless networks there were no problems. The quality of communication is not satisfactory either. mobile network.

The sound quality in the headphones is typical for devices running on MediaTek processors and it is very average, but at the same time the volume reserve is quite good. The built-in video player supports all popular codecs.

Autonomy

The results of autonomy are predictable. With an average load, the smartphone can last two days, this is, of course, if you do not play heavy games, but still use the mobile Internet.

You can adjust the energy consumption in pre-installed application"Lenovo Power." The program allows you to perform deep customization of your smartphone. It has five main tabs: “Power”, “Consumption”, “Charging”, “Mode” and “Options”. The “Power” tab allows you to more precisely configure the selected battery mode and at the same time see the relationship between enabling or disabling functions and the approximate operating time of the smartphone. For example, disabling the display's automatic rotation sensor slightly increases the estimated operating time. The “Consumption” tab allows you to track battery consumption. It contains a division of statistics on programs and hardware that consume energy. The Charging tab allows you to calibrate the battery. Probably the most interesting tab is “Mode”. It is here that you can switch between autonomy modes in just one click. A total of four modes are available: “Alarm clock” (in this mode the device goes into airplane mode, turns off absolutely all methods of data transfer and lowers the display brightness to the minimum value), “Phone” (differs from the previous one only in the inclusion of a SIM card), “Network” (data transfer via Wi-Fi, mobile network, brightness works display increases automatically) and “Custom mode” (in this mode it is possible to configure all the above-mentioned indicators). The “Settings” tab allows you to enable smart energy saving, configure the on/off schedule, and the operation of the missed events indicator. It is important to note that the program’s autonomy indicators may vary significantly depending on the operation of the device; in other words, these indicators are displayed in real time and do not in any way predict your further actions and the number of calls, but even despite this, such a deep adjustment of the device’s power supply will be useful and convenient.

The data is for a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh. To listen to music, we used a standard player, volume at 12 out of 15 possible, MP3 files with a bitrate of 320 Kbps. In reading mode, all wireless communications are disabled, including data transmission on the mobile network, and the display brightness is set to 50%. Navigation includes getting directions in the Google Navigation app. The brightness is set to 50%, all data communication modules are disabled. When playing a video, the display brightness is set to 50%, the sound volume in the headphones is at level 12 out of a possible 15. The video file format is MKV, resolution 1024x432 pixels, frame rate 24. When playing a video from Youtube, the display brightness is set to 50%, the sound volume in the headphones is at 12 out of 15 possible levels.

Display

Lenovo IdeaPhone A850 is equipped with a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960x540 pixels and a density of 200 PPI. Despite the low resolution, you need to look closely to see the pixels. Screen viewing angles are close to maximum. Subjectively, the display quality is good. Test results showed that the maximum brightness is 327 cd/m², 50% is 164 cd/m², and the minimum is 38 cd/m². At minimum brightness, it is difficult to work with a smartphone at night due to the excessive minimum brightness. In sunny weather, it is possible to view the information on the screen, although it is quite difficult.

Checking the factory calibration showed the following: the color gamut is slightly wider than standard sRGB, because of this the colors are more saturated, the color temperature is too high, the gamma curve is slightly higher than 2.2, especially in light shades, as a result of which they are lighter than they should be. In general, the results obtained can be called quite good, especially considering the cost of the device.

Camera

Lenovo IdeaPhone A850 is equipped with two cameras: a 5 MP main camera with autofocus and flash and a 0.3 MP front camera. The main camera can record Full HD video, take HDR photos, and also has several built-in automatic modes. An interesting point is that in order to start recording video, you only need to press the corresponding button, and not switch to video mode.

The quality of captured photos and videos is below average even in good lighting conditions. The pictures lack detail, moreover, in most cases the pictures are soapy. If camera quality is important to you, you won't find it here.

Results

Lenovo IdeaPhone A850 is affordable smartphone with a 5.5-inch IPS screen and good performance for little money. The main advantage of the device is performance. Disadvantages include camera quality, controversial ergonomics and screen resolution. If we talk about competitors, the main one is. Lenovo IdeaPhone A850 has an advantage in price and performance, but at the same time loses in camera quality and battery life.

Hi all! After a “year-long hibernation”, I again took up writing reviews of various equipment. It so happens that the hero in today’s review is a smartphone – Lenovo A850. I purchased it in the army; I bought it this year at the DNS store in Samara for 8,990 rubles. A shovel is a shovel, but the device is so convenient and nimble that you don’t want to part with it even now, having arrived in civilian life. He became a truly irreplaceable comrade; I spent half a year of service with him. You will find all the details about this model in this review.

PACKAGE

Unfortunately, I was unable to bring the packaging and documentation for the phone home intact, so I took the photo from the Internet. The packaging is small in size, made in white and gray. The front side of the package shows the smartphone model with its name. A brief summary is indicated on the remaining sides technical characteristics device and its name.

EQUIPMENT

The scope of delivery of this model is meager and sad, but at the same time standard.
- Telephone;
- Documentation in various languages;
- Charger;
- Li-Ion accumulator battery;
- Headphones;
- Protective film(pre-pasted).

APPEARANCE

The appearance of this smartphone is so banal, and besides, there is nothing unusual about it. Lenovo's favorite method of rounding the corners of gadgets has also been applied to this model. Thanks to this, the model turned out to be simple, without any frills, with a restrained design.
Lenovo A850 is a classic candy bar that, despite its large size, fits well in the hand. Also this model convenient because its thickness is 9.5 millimeters and its weight is 184 grams!

On the front side 5.5 inch screen, located under protective glass, which, in turn, is protected by factory film. At the bottom of the screen, as usual, there are touch-sensitive device control keys (menu, home, back).

At the top are the Lenovo logo, speaker, front-camera 0.3MPix and light and proximity sensors.

This smartphone has a silver plastic rim that runs along all edges. There is nothing on the left side. On the right side there is a volume rocker. On the top edge there is a headphone jack – mini jack 3.5 mm, an on/off button, and on the bottom edge there is a mini USB connector and a microphone hole.

The entire back side is covered with a glossy plastic cover. After 6 months of use without a case, it became pretty “worn” (scuffs are visible at the bottom right of the speaker). Just above the middle is the Lenovo logo, and above it there is an LED flash and a 5MP camera, which protrudes slightly forward by a few millimeters.

Under the plastic cover there is a removable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2250 mAh. 2 slots for full-size SIM cards, the first slot (SIM 1) is of the WCDMA/GSM standard, and the second slot (SIM 2) is GSM. To the left is a slot for mini SD memory cards up to 32 GB. These connectors can only be accessed when there is no battery.

SCREEN

Lenovo A850 has a 5.5-inch display with IPS matrix and a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and a density of 200PPI. Viewing angles are good, colors are rich and bright. No color distortions were detected. Present automatic setting screen brightness.

But with brightness this phone problems - even with minimum brightness at night the phone shines very brightly. But in sunny weather, at maximum brightness, it is problematic to see anything on the screen.
The smartphone's sensor works without brakes, and the multi-touch is five-point.

CAMERA

The deepest disadvantage of this smartphone is the camera. The main camera is 5MP, takes photos with a maximum resolution of 2880 x 1728. The photos are relatively good, since the camera is “soapy”. The feeling when viewing photographs is that it is not a photograph, but a painting painted in watercolors. The only joy for me was that I could take photographs using the volume rocker key - very convenient!
Examples of photos (I chose the best shots):

The camera settings are standard; the model has autofocus and face detection.

The front camera is 0.3 megapixels with constant focus, which is certainly good, but not enough...
This smartphone shoots video with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 720p. At night, video shooting can be immediately excluded, since the image quality is very poor. You can shoot video during the daytime, but even during the day the quality leaves much to be desired.

SOFT

Lenovo A850 runs on the operating system – Android OS 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and the Lenovo Launcher graphical interface. The maximum number of desktops reaches nine (I have five).

I was very pleased that in this smartphone Easily customize the appearance of icons, folders, theme, wallpaper, desktop, desktop effects. All this can be easily achieved by pressing just one home button. Thus, each user can customize this smartphone for themselves.

On the desktop, the user can place widgets and application shortcuts, create folders or place tools.

By logging into the application, the user has access to the classic menu layout - 4x5. Widgets are no longer at the end of the list of applications; they are accessed through the “menu” key, then “add”.

The settings menu is also unique in its own way. Lenovo A850 has three points:

1) General parameters (here the user is prompted to quickly enable or disable such components as: Wi-Fi, Data transfer, Bluetooth; adjust the brightness or volume, change the wallpaper or theme, select a particular melody for the ringtone or SMS);

2) Setting up symbols (here the user is asked to enable or disable sensors, set up notifications, or link Wi-Fi to a location);

3) All settings (here the user can fully configure the smartphone).

The menu from the top curtain allows the user to fast access to the following functions: battery, screen brightness, standby mode, auto-rotate, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, data transfer, airplane mode and sound mode settings.

Pre-installed programs are enough for the average user.

SOUND

The speaker of the Lenovo A850 is of average volume, however, the sound is of high quality. The headset included in the package is simple at first glance, although it sounds good. The headset also has a good volume reserve, which gives a positive effect in a noisy place.

The headset has a clothes peg; this is a very convenient device that not all headphones have. The microphone works well during a conversation and transmits speech clearly. Using the button when a headset is connected, you can control the audio player.

CONNECTION

The GPS for this model works quite well, although sometimes with minor errors. Lenovo A850 is a good replacement for a navigator. Wi-Fi also works - not a single comment, not any complaints!
In WCDMA and GSM phone works well, call quality is excellent. The smartphone supports 2 SIM cards. SIM 1 slot has a greater privilege and you can access it both in the 3G network and in GSM networks, SIM 2 slot is intended for GSM networks only.

PERFORMANCE

MTK 6582M is the main link in smartphone performance. This quad-core processor operates with a frequency of 1.3 GHz, the graphics accelerator is Mali 400. With these characteristics, the phone copes with any tasks. It is slightly inferior in performance Samsung Galaxy S3. In general, I will say that the phone works without freezes or lags.

Over the course of 6 months, the Lenovo A850 tested many games and handled them all with flying colors. I even became friends with on-line MMORPGs, the only thing for such games is that you need a good Internet connection, best of all Wi-FI, since I was constantly disconnected due to bad connection on a 3G network.
Well, at the time of writing the review, I again decided to play Dead Trigger 2, Real Racing 3, Asphalt 8, ROBOCOP.
The smartphone runs all games at high settings, without any freezes.

RAM of 1 GB is cut down during system operation and only 500 MB remain available to the user.

A similar situation is with internal memory. 4 GB of main memory takes up most of the system and ultimately only half is available to the user. Therefore, without hesitation, I bought myself a 16 GB micro SD. and set it as default memory.

Applications can be transferred to an SD card, but immediately installed on external card For some reason there is no memory possible.
As for playing video files, this model’s video player supports all popular codecs, so watching any movie is simple and convenient.

AUTONOMY

Eh... Well, why did they cram only 2250 mAh into such a good device?!! Very small capacity for such a screen. After 6 months of fair use, the battery holds a charge for an average of 20 hours. At the same time, data transfer is always on, brightness is 50%, a maximum of an hour of listening to music, a couple of calls, playing a couple of games. The rest of the time the smartphone is in standby mode...

When constantly surfing the Internet, the battery lasts about 7-10 hours (minimum brightness).
When playing games, on average 5-6 hours (minimum brightness).
When watching movies 10-11 hours (maximum brightness).
When listening to music 12-13 hours (minimum brightness).
For me this is not enough. Looking at the various batteries of other competing companies, one can only envy their autonomy. For me, it would be ideal to install a battery of at least 3000 mAh in this unit.
The included charger charges the smartphone within 2 hours.

CONCLUSION

This Lenovo A850 model looks simple, but balanced. This unit replaces my tablet, the Internet is always at hand, surfing with such a “shovel” has become much more convenient. He can handle any game, and this is a huge plus. Moreover, the phone is from the budget series. Thanks to all this, you get a powerful animal for significant money (now this model costs 7,790 rubles). Over 6 months of constant use, sometimes only the rechargeable battery let me down due to its low capacity. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase.

Pros:

+ Price;
+ Large screen;
+ Good build;
+ Performance.

Minuses:

- Camera;
- Battery capacity.
