Long story short, I scrolled and scrolled and couldn’t find the setting! But this can’t be, because I remember exactly what it was! Damn, I was already scared, I thought maybe they removed this option to disable the new design, but fortunately not! It’s just that before it seemed like it was a check mark, so I was looking for it... But it turns out to be a button and it’s not in the additional settings.. In general, it’s next to the checkbox for disabling some kind of Zen, in general, here’s this button:

As a rule, by restoring the browser, users mean either normalizing its operation or restoring previous settings specified by the user.

Option 1: Restore normal browser operation

If your Yandex Browser is not working correctly and you want to restore its normal functioning, you will need to completely reinstall it.

Option 2: Restore previous browser settings

For various reasons, the settings of the web browser may suddenly change, for example, as a result of installing a program on the computer, the search system, set by default.

In this situation, you have several options: use the function Windows recovery, delete the current profile and synchronize the browser (if you have previously used this function), as well as remove adware and reset the browser settings.

Method 1: Restore your computer

Windows OS provides special tool, designed to normalize the operation of the computer, which will allow the system to return to the moment when everything worked correctly. In particular, if, say, a couple of weeks ago Yandex.Browser was working normally, then this tool quite suitable for restoring your web browser settings.

We draw your attention to the fact that if you previously activated the synchronization function, then all the specified settings were sent to the Yandex servers, which means that after performing a system rollback, the browser will synchronize with your account, and the new settings will still return. This method can be rationally used only if synchronization in Yandex Browser is disabled.

[Please note that the recovery process may take quite a long time - everything will depend on how long ago you selected the rollback point. Be prepared for the computer to take several hours to complete.

After the system restore is complete, check the functionality of the browser - all previous settings will return.

Method 2: Delete profile and sync with account

Suppose your browser suddenly lost previous settings – installed extensions, custom settings, saved passwords and other information. This may indicate that there is a problem with the Yandex Browser profile file on the computer - it has been changed or damaged.

In this case, you can try to solve the problem using synchronization capabilities, but, of course, this method will only be useful if this function was previously used by you for cloud storage all web browser settings.

Method 3: manually restoring parameters

This step implies that you will methodically and completely independently return all changed settings.

Despite the efforts of the developers to create an intuitive Yandex Browser interface, it is often difficult to immediately guess where in the settings to enable or disable certain controls. This is the case with the missing “Scoreboard” element.

Tableau is a special area at the top of the browser where miniature images of websites or logos are located. Since the area occupies a decent amount of space, it was made so that it appears and disappears. The developers tried to predict the moment of appearance and disappearance based on user actions.

So, if the user wants to go to any site, he starts writing in the line URLs, at this moment the program considers that it’s time to show the Tableau, because this site may already be presented on it.

If it's gone

As soon as the site begins to load, the scoreboard disappears. You can return it by starting a visit to a new resource. More about this below.

How to call it

The board appears only if the user expresses an intention to visit a portal. This intention involves performing one of two actions:

• Opening a new tab;
• Writing the resource address in the Yandex Browser line.

These actions are like commands that the program algorithm uses to open the “Scoreboard”.

Thus, there is no point in looking for it somewhere in the settings, start writing the address and it will appear.

Is it possible to stretch it

As far as I know, there is no way to enlarge the “Scoreboard”. The developers did not include this feature in the browser. It will not be possible to add more sites - their maximum number is limited to 18.

Controls

In order to configure the “Scoreboard” you need to go to editing mode. At the bottom of the window you can see the “settings” link; when you click it, the “Scoreboard” switches to editing mode - next to each thumbnail appears graphic elements controls - pin/undock icons (in the form of a stylized lock) and a delete icon (cross). You can also rearrange widgets by dragging them.

Deny appearance

The official Yandex help section says:

If you are annoyed by the appearance of the “Scoreboard”, you can remove it. To do this, you need to go to the Yandex Browser settings and find the module responsible for appearance. In it, disable the “Open Tableau” option.

No matter how hard I tried to find this option, I couldn’t find it. Most likely this feature has been removed in new versions of the browser.

It's gone somewhere

If “Scoreboard” does not open, it means you have disabled it in the settings. See the previous paragraph of the article and do the opposite - enable the “Open Tableau” option.

Change background

The scoreboard cannot be made transparent. This possibility is not provided (as far as I have information). Moreover, work with the background has also been stopped - I do not see buttons for editing the background in my browser, although they are described in the instructions in the Yandex help section. This means that this feature has already been lost in new versions.

Not saved to the cloud

“Scoreboard” synchronization does not occur for a very simple reason - Yandex developers chose to remove this feature based on their own considerations.
